My name is Stephen Campbell. I’m a New Zealand based writer, director and show runner with over thirty years experience in the business.

I set up Amaru Road as a brand under which to create original and engaging stories for a wide range of audiences and screens.

Over the past 20 years I’ve created award winning drama programmes that have proven hugely popular with children, young adult and family audiences.  

My latest drama The Cul de Sac is a sci fi thriller set in a post apocalyptic world where teens are forced to survive without adults or tech.  

The Cul de Sac has been well received critically and has quickly become a cult hit with kiwi audiences of all ages.

DEVELOPMENT

Currently I’m working on a slate of exciting new projects under the Amaru Road umbrella and I’m always open to talking with potential production partners.
